| Soft Skills continue to develop, where the attacker's force can be redirected, or Borrowed, to be used against them. As Takedowns are learned through sweeps, trips, and throws, the kenpoist uses this as a training opportunity in learning how to defend and fight his way back up from the ground. As Locks and Holds are explored, so are the dissolves and counters needed to defend against them. The Green Belt now has learned a significant number of techniques, representing not only the ideal self-defense scenarios, but also as Systemic Patterns. Through Positional Recognition and Formulation, the concept of ARMM is applied. (Adjust, Regulate, Monitor, Modify). Grafting is explored by recognizing Catalysts and learning to move from the Ideal Phase of one technique to the Ideal Phase of another. |
