In addition to learning the new material, the Orange Belt must improve the execution of techniques with better balance, more strength, and clearer definition in each Stance.

Martial Intent must be exhibited in their forms, sets, and techniques. Targets must be clear for each strike.

Students also learn to cover-out and survey, thereby exiting, gaining distance, and finding
Sanctuary from a potential second attack.
