| As a beginner, the Kenpo student starts to learn basic fundamentals of self-defense: stances, blocks, hand strikes, kicks, and foot maneuvers. These basics are practiced as isolated exercises for repetition, in sets such as Stance Set and Blocking Set (Star Block), and applied in the 10 self-defense techniques of the Yellow Belt syllabus. |
